Compliance checklist
Equalize is a preference layer, not a compliance shortcut. It gives visitors optional adjustments and it keeps its own panel accessible — it cannot add missing alt text, fix a broken form label, or caption a video on your page. Use this checklist every time you ship a page: confirm what Equalize already covers, then work through the items that are still your responsibility.
What Equalize's own panel covers

- Fully keyboard operable; opens as a native modal dialog with a managed focus trap and no traps left behind. (2.1.1 / 2.1.2)

The adjustments it offers visitors — larger text, extra spacing, high contrast, reduced motion, a reading guide — are optional accommodations a visitor can turn on. They don't change whether your page meets WCAG in its default state, which is what the checklist below is for. Browser read aloud is also an optional convenience: it does not replace semantic markup, accessible names, or manual testing with NVDA, JAWS, Narrator, VoiceOver, TalkBack, or another reader.
